Editorial Rights
As splinterswerve relies solely on writers and artists who are willing to submit their blood, sweat and tears for free, and as its creator and staff also donate their time, we are unable to promise publication of any work due to restrictions of space, time and resources.
splinterswerve’s goal is to build its exposure as a respected ezine consisting of strong, original content submitted by those who truly love writing, photography, art, music and creation of any kind.
We are unable to pay for contributions at this time, but for every published piece, contributors are entitled to a bio consisting of 100 words or less, as well as a link to their personal website.
Editing Guidelines and Responsibilities
splinterswerve is a community created for artists by artists. Therefore, in the interest of everyone involved, we like to try to ensure everyone and their works are represented in the best light possible. This simply means that, in an effort to keep everyone’s rear sufficiently covered, all written submissions will be edited for basic contextual errors such as those commonly made in spelling and grammar.
As splinterswerve was created in support of the heady process of creativity, we know that editing plays a crucial part. After an initial submission has been edited, splinterswerve reserves that right to requests changes before publication. The creator will receive a set of comprehensive suggestions and comments from splinterswerve editors. All submissions will be treated with the respect they deserve.
splinterswerve’s dedicated and talented staff has years of professional editing experience, and aims to help works become the best they can be. While delving into the depths of your work, they are also able to hone their skills, learn about technique, and rediscover where their own inspiration lies. It’s all super symbiotic.
Written word submission must be 1500-2000 words or less.
